Virginia Lepak
Virginia "Virg" Lepak age 77, of Shantytown, passed away Monday morning August 15, 2016 at Wausau Aspirus Hospital.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Virg will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday August 19, 2016 at St. Ladislaus Catholic Church in Bevent. Rev. Augustine Bentil will officiate. Friends and family will gather to share memories from 9:00 AM on Friday until the time of services at the church.
Virg was born May 9, 1939 at her parents - Leo and Lillian (Zick) Hoppa - home in Shantytown. She attended Polk Elementary School, two years at St. Ladislaus High School and graduated from Rosholt High School in 1957. She moved to Milwaukee and worked at Briggs & Stratton for 10 years. On November 26, 1960 Virg married Maynard Lepak at St. Ladislaus Cathoilic Church. The couple settled in Milwaukee, before moving to New Berlin in 1963. Virg became a cosmetologist in the mid 70's and worked as a beautician the rest of her life. In 1980 the family moved to Muskego and lived there until moving to Shantytown in 2010. Virg loved polkas, dancing, gardening, and flowers. She was a workaholic and was always moving and doing something.
Virg is survived by her husband Maynard, and their 3 children: Randy (Mary) Lepak, Muskego; Cindy Krause , Beaver Dam; Daryl (Kris) Lepak, Delafield. 6 grandchildren: Spring, Spencer, Rachel, Josh, Jayme, and Jacob. 7 brothers and sisters: Florence Pukrop, Shantytown; Gilbert "Gibby" Hoppa, Bevent; Sylvia Pukrop, Stevens Point; Jeannette Bembenek, Shantytown; Leo Hoppa Jr, Shantytown; Eileen (Lester) DeMeyer, Plover; Diane (Bob) Ganski, Stevens Point. She was preceded in death by her parents and 6 brothers and sisters.
Virg's family wishes to thank the staff at Aspirus Hospital for the care and compassion shown to her and the entire family. They would like to especially thank Dr. Waller and nurses: April and Tina.
