Obituary for Daniel Hellenbrand

Daniel  Hellenbrand
Daniel R. Hellenbrand was born to Louis and Agnes Hellenbrand on May 3, 1952 in Madison, WI. He passed from our lives suddenly and unexpectedly on September, 6, 2016. He was preceded in death by his parents.
He grew up in Cross Plains, WI with his lively and entertaining siblings. He graduated from Middleton High School in 1970. He had a rewarding 33 year career in the automotive repair industry. After receiving the gift of a new kidney from his best friend and cousin, Jon, he turned his attention to volunteering for the Boy Scouts and at the HSPC. Dog walker and all round do what needs to be done was our Dan. His foremost talent was that of fun, goofy dad. He loved with all his heart and taught by example the values of honesty, integrity and responsibility.
He is survived by his wife; Kathy A (Tolzmann) and their children, Nicole and Ben of Stevens Point, WI. His siblings; Susan of Columbia, MD, Ann (Dave) Whalen of Glendora, CA, Judy Taylor of Ontario, CA, Gerard of Madison, WI, Ron (Lisa) of Middleton, WI and Char (Steve) Coyle of Black Earth, WI. Mother in law: Dorthy Evenson. Brothers in law: Kerry (Tracey); Stuart (Lea); Mike; Grant (Michele); Jimmy; Ralph (Danielle).
A life celebration memorial service will be held on Monday Sep 26, 2016 at 4:00pm at the Shuda Funeral Home in Plover,WI. Visitation will take place prior to services from 2:00 - 4:00 PM. All are welcome.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation be made to your local animal shelter.
