Obituary for Jesse Mientke

Jesse Mientke
The OFFICIAL obituary of Jesse G. Mientke.

Jesse G. Mientke age 42, of Plover, passed away unexpectedly on March 29, 2017; after bravely battling an aggressive form of MS the past 4 years.

Jesse was born February 17, 1975 in Stevens Point, the 3rd son of Ronald and Susan (Wilcox) Mientke. He grew up in Bevent, and after completing his education he followed his passion and went on to open his own business, Jesse's Painting & Services which he operated until his untimely passing. He put his all into his jobs and truly enjoyed pleasing his customers. Jesse was a “Jack of all trades” and always held himself to a higher expectation than even his customers! The high bar he set for himself, transferred into his personal life as well, as he would always go the extra mile for anyone in need. He never asked or expected anything in return, he felt the most satisfied when helping others. His hard working and generous hands were appreciated in so many ways and will be greatly missed. Space does not permit us to continue to list his numerous amazing qualities!

Jesse met, and fell in love with his wife Nicole in 2008 and they were married, August 7th, 2010. When they joined families they had five children between the two of them, and even though they were a blended family, he viewed all of the children as his own and loved each of them. He took pride in being a kind and compassionate father always giving the kids attention and love that they deserved.

Jesse had a passion for many things including his love of all kinds of good music, classic country being his childhood favorite. He also enjoyed fishing when he had time, working on all cars, and good movies. Since he never put himself first, many of his passions were simple, but one of his favorite quotes was “it's the little things that matter.”

A peaceful visitation will be held from 3:00pm-5:00pm on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at the Shuda-Plover Funeral Home in Plover. A private service will be held at a later date. A memorial in lieu of flowers will will be established at a later date in Jesse's name.

He is survived by his wife Nicole, his son Daniel, and their children: Madylyn, Justus, Caden and Alyson. His father: Ronald (Peggy) Mientke; his brother Aaron (Amy) Mientke and sisters: Sara (Dan) Raasch and Regina Mientke. He was proceeded in death by his mother Susan Hawley, his brother Jeremy, his best friend Kurt and his dog Jack.
