Thomas "Tom" Schrader
Thomas “Tom” Schrader, 69, passed away at his home on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 in Galloway, Wisconsin. He was born July 13, 1947 to John and Rufina (Groshek) Schrader. On August 5, 1968 he married Margie Stanislawski. Tom was a devout Catholic and even when unable to attend mass due to poor health, always received sacraments. He enjoyed working on his collection of small tractors and his favorite place to be was with family in his workshop, or working in his garden. Tom also supported right-to-life ministries, St. Jude charities, and recently retired from Custom Steel after 30 years with the company.
Survivors include his wife Margie; his sons Luke (Kim), their children Landon, Ariel, Lars and Lawton of Little Chute WI and Tom of Wausau, WI; three daughters Sheila (Mark), their children Sammi and Sheridan Stelzl of Appleton, WI, Lisa (Jamie) Langerman of Littleton, CO and Vickie Schrader and her children Maggie and Josie Kasuboski of Hortonville, WI; brother Mark Schrader of Galloway, WI, and sisters Kathy Schrader of Galloway, WI and Linda (Robert) Sharafinski of Stevens Point, WI.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother Jerry; his daughter Dorothy and grandchild Kayla.
A gathering to celebrate Tom’s life will be held on Friday, April 7 from 3:00 5:00 PM at the Shuda Funeral Chapel - Stevens Point. A Rosary will be prayed for Tom at 4:00 PM at the funeral chapel. Funeral mass will take place on Saturday, April 8 at 11:00 AM at St. Mary’s Oratory in Wausau, WI. Visitation will also be held from 10:00 Saturday morning until the time of Mass at the church. Burial will be at the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery Galloway.
Words and a piece of paper cannot describe what a great man Tom was and how much he was loved. He will be missed by many and never forgotten.
