Jean Marie Banks
Jean M. Banks age 62, of Plover passed away February 1, 2018.
Private family services were held. Shuda Funeral Service is assisting the family.
Jean was born July 16, 1955 in Stambaugh, MI, the daughter of Reynold and Beverly (Melchlori) Banks. She graduated from Northern Michigan University in 1978. Jean moved to Stevens Point after graduation and began working as a social worker with Portage County Human Services. She earned her masters in psychology from UW-Oshkosh in 1992. She then worked with the Children's Service Society, Behrend Psychology, and Clinical Services in Wisconsin Rapids. Jean earned her PhD from Walden University in 2006. She currently was employed at Central Wisconsin Counseling Association in Wisconsin Rapids. She married Charles King in October 1984 in Stevens Point; the couple later divorced. Jean married Richard Heinzen in January of 2015. She enjoyed traveling, and loved to help people, and most of all spend time with family and friends.
Jean is survived by her husband Richard, Marshfield; her father Reynold Banks, Plover; her two children: Lisa Banks, Plover and Maxwell (fiance' Nina Salazar) Milwaukee. Stepdaughter Teri Heinzen-Janz, Marshfield and stepson Brad (Dana)Heinzen, Marshfield. Six grandchildren: Alexander Hoch (Tyler Miller), Cameron Banks (Savannah Spring), Drake, Kashmir, Lillian, and Lincoln Heinzen. Two brothers: Greg Banks (Adam Smolarek), Milwaukee and Larry (Kim) Banks, Grand Rapids, MI. She was preceded in death by her mother Beverly.
