Gail M. Rosenau
Gail M. Rosenau, age 80, of Plover, passed away Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at Whispering Pines Assisted Living.
Visitation for Gail will be held Saturday October 29, 2016 from 9:00 - 11:00 AM at the Plover - Shuda Funeral Home in Plover. Committal services at the St Bronislava Parish Cemetery will be held after the visitation with Rev. Edward Shuttleworth officiating.
Gail was born March 9, 1936 in Manistique, MI to John and Marie (Garvin) Dugas. She grew up in Iron Mountain, MI where she graduated from Iron Mountain High School. Gail married John Rosenau on September 5, 1959, the couple moved to Petoskey, MI and later Antigo before moving to Plover in 1966. Gail worked in Stevens Point for the school system as a teacher’s aide for McKinley Elementary, and retired as a librarian’s aide for McDill Elementary in 1989.
After retiring she and her husband John, (with their cat "Cookie") were Florida snowbirds for many years. She loved crocheting, baking, cooking, family, and being a grandma and great grandmother, .
Gail is survived by her 3 children: Todd (Sharon) Rosenau, Springfield, VA; Joel Rosenau, Plover; Kelly (Neal) Schuh, Plover. 6 grandchildren: Allyssa, Jaron, Regina, Valerie, Colin, and Hayden. 3 great grandchildren: Ellen, Matthew, and Isaac. Her brother Norbert Dugas, Oregon House, CA. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers John Jr and Elliott.
Gail's family would like to thank the staff at Whispering Pines for their tender loving care of Gail. A memorial in lieu of flowers will be established in Gail's name to Boston School Forest.
