Gerald "Jerry" Kohl
Gerald “Jerry” Leo Kohl, 60, Marshfield, passed away on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at Sylvan Crossings of Stevens Point.
A visitation for Jerry will be held from 4:30-6:30pm Thursday, November 17, 2016 at Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home at 1010 East Veterans Parkway in Marshfield. No services will be held. Directly following the visitation there will be food and a celebration of life gathering at T-Bones Bar and Grill in Marshfield.
Jerry was born on November 14, 1955 in Marshfield, WI to Walter and Alberta (Degenhardt) Kohl. He grew up in Marshfield, WI and was a graduate from Columbus High School. He worked as a track laborer for the CN (Canadian National) or Wisconsin Central Rail Road for over 37 years.
He enjoyed motocross, muscle cars, the Milwaukee Brewers, and being outdoors. He was a huge Dale Earnhardt Senior fan and loved fishing and hunting. Most of all, he was a great father to his three daughters.
Jerry is survived by his daughters, Tiffany Kohl of Marshfield, Stephanie (Anthony) Gamez of Argyle, and Jessica Kohl of Gratiot. He is also survived by a grandchild, Brock Gamez. He is further survived by his siblings, Thomas Kohl of Marshfield, Sue (Tom) Baldischweiler of Stevens Point, Jim (Mary) Kohl of Marshfield, Carol (Rick) Hribar of Marshfield, and Robert (Dede Wood) of Granton. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Alberta Kohl.
The family would like to thank the caregivers at Sylvan Crossings of Stevens Point and the staff at Heartland Hospice Care.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations to be made in Gerald’s name to the Marshfield Area Purple Angels at 111 North Chestnut Avenue, Marshfield, WI 54449.
