Obituary for Isaiah A. Smith

Isaiah A.  Smith
Isaiah A. Smith, 35, of Wausau, WI, died early Sunday morning, April 9, 2017, as the result of a car accident.
Isaiah was born January 1, 1982 in Colombia, South America. He came to the U.S. in 1985 to be united with his adoptive family, and was raised in the Junction City area.
Isaiah is survived by his son, Andrés, and his daughters, Mia, NaKesha, and Amya. He is further survived by his parents, Leslie and Susan Smith; siblings Isaac, Autumn (Mike) Perry, Benjamin (Sarah), AnnaLia Robinson, Suki (Frank) Kubowski, Maritza, Amanda, and Raphael; numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family. Isaiah is also survived by his fiancée, Shelley Ploeger, and lifelong best friends Tyrone Dingman and Walter Ross.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Emilie, and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Isaiah loved his children and cherished his time spent with them. He was bright and hard-working, and always had a ready smile. He was a loyal friend who will be remembered for his creative sandwich-making skills, sense of adventure, and his love of sports, particularly the Packers.
Isaiah was employed by Greenheck Fan Corporation, Schofield.
A memorial service for Isaiah will be held Saturday, April 15, at 11:00 am at New Hope Community Church, 117 W. Second St., Junction City. Pastor Erv Volkmann will officiate. Visitation will take place Friday, April 14, from 5:00-8:00 pm at the church and Saturday, April 15 from 10:00am until time of service. A private burial will take place at a later date.
